Quayle acquired the property from the Ricks family in 1884. There is evidence that there was a building on the land at the time Quayle acquired it. James Quayle was the vice-president of First National Bank in the 1900's as well as managing his general merchandise store. The Bluebird Restaurant has occupied the building from the 1920's to the present. |
