The popular bungalow was enlarged creating the second story bungaloid style. All proportions, details, windows, etc. are neoclassic. The colonnaded front porch clearly is evidence of this style. The roof is a strong element of the design and is gabled on the ends. A smaller gable projection face the front of the house and emphasizes the symmetry of the design as well as the second story veranda below. The windows on the first floor are leaded and have beveled edges. A large bay window graces the colonnaded porch. t Interior embellishment include oak woodwork, oak parlor floor and beautiful oak sliding doors. The original owner, Emma Thatcher Jeppeson was the wife of Severin J. Jeppeson, wfao was a local musician. |
