Show Archite ct/3uilder: Building Materials DescriDtion of Building Type/Style: sdeal appearance & significant architectural features: structures, and landscaping if applicable This white frame wood home is very well preserved and is of an I form pattern with the three wal" dormers making it a two story home. This vernacular home was built in the 1870's and is fronted by a portico which is supported by four columns (unfluted) with doric capitals and a plain entablature. The middle wall dormer encases a door which opens onto the portico while the outside two dormers I enframe the two latfge windows. The home is plain and simple and an • excellent example Of the.vernacular architecture of the early settlement days of the area. The o|nly visible alterations to the exterior are minor; the windows now have aluminum s|torm coverings along with the doors. The porch may also have been added later, tjhough not so much later that it is out of character.
