Transoartatioa The age and style of this home make it a contribution to the district. The original owner, Joseph Quinney, was a prominent man in the local IDS church as well as the community. He served as President of the temple here, and later President of the Canadian Mission. He was also manager of the Amalgamated Sugar Co. He later took a trip to Russia to study the cultivation of sugar beet seeds. As a result of his investigations in Russia, sugar beet seed cultivation began in Utah. |
