The first floor has been modernized with large picture windows. second floor has large rectangular windows. The Originally, the building was crowned with a Greek temple-like gable, but this has since been removed. According to the Utah Journal, the store carried a complete line of, "pure drugs, chemicals, patent medicines, toilet articles, berneral sundries, paints, oils, varnishes, brushes, wines, liquors, ...besides an elegant line of Holiday Goods." The company also manufactured its own medicinal physicians' prescriptions. The newspaper states further that, "the commercial standing of this store gives them access to the very largest markets and a purchasing power second to none in this country, thereby guaranteeing to their customers the lowest possible prices." The building has since that time housed many different businesses, the present being the retail outlet for Mode O'Day. |
