The original owner was Lorenzo Hansen, one of the most prominent mayors of Logan and the superintendent of Borden C. Milk Company. He was a member of the board of trusties at the Utah Agricultural College and founder of the Cache Valley Condensed Milk Company. He was also instrumental in establishing the Budge Hospital and the first municipal power plant in Logan. Mr. Hansen was a member of the Cache Stake high council. He inaugurated the planting of the row of trees on each side of the boulevard in Logan. The large evergreen in front of his house was decorated each Christmas time in recognition of his contributions. |
