Per jus enim civile privatum nihil aliud intelligere poffumus , quam uniufcujufquelibertatem ad iefc in (uenatu confervandum, quæ ediäis fummæ poteftatis determinatur, iolaque ejufdern authoritate defenditur. Nam poftquam unulquilque jus (uum ex proprio beneplacito vivendi , quo fola fua poteliate determinabatur, hoc eft, iüamlibertatem & potentiam fe defendendi in alium tranftulit , - ei: (ola illius rationejam vivere tenetur, & folo ejufdem præfidio ie defendere.
