Show CALIFORNIA DEFENDANTS Exhibit No. 136 Identification: May 6, 1957 Admitted: May 7, 1957 This Agreement, made and entered into this 24th day of July 1901, at the City of Los Angeles, California, by and between La Sociedad de Yrrigacion y Terrenos de la Baja California, (Sociedad Anonima), a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Republic of Mexico, party of the first part, and Imperial Water Company Number 1, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California, party of the second part, and The California Development Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of New Jersey, and having the principal place of business of its Directors in the City of Los Angeles, State of California, party of the third part, Witnesseth: That whereas, upon the 6th day of April 1900, parties of the first and second part hereto entered into an agreement, whereby party of the first part agreed to deliver to party of the second part a certain amount of water, not exceeding four hundred thousand (400,000) acre-feet annually, and whereby party of the second part agreed to allow party of the first part to sell the capital stock of party of the second part; a copy of which agreement is hereto annexed marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof; And, whereas, upon the 28th day of December 1900, party of the third part hereto, entered into a certain agreement with party of the first part hereto, whereby party of the third part agreed to deliver to party of the first part a sufficient amount of certain waters appropriated, owned |
