Chaffey, known to me to be the officers who executed the within instrument on behalf of the corporation therein named, and acknowledged to me that said corporation executed the same. Notary Public "Exhibit A" This Agreement, made and entered into this 6th day of April 1900, by and between Sociedad de Yrrigacion y Terrenos de la Baja California (Sociedad Anonima), a corporation duly formed and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the Republic of Mexico, party of the first part, and Imperial Water Company Number One, a corporation formed and existing under the laws of the State of California, United States of America, party of the second part, Witnesseth: That whereas, the first party is about to construct a canal for the purpose of diverting certain waters of the Colorado River to be used for irrigation and other useful purposes; and whereas, first party is desirous of selling the right to use such water; and |
