Show For and in Consideration of the benefits accruing to me as a stockholder in the California Development Company, a corporation, formed under the laws of the State of New Jersey, by virtue of a certain contract entered into between said corporation and George Chaffey on the 3rd day of April, 1900, which said contract has been by me ratified and approved and in accordance with the provisions of said contract for the purpose of carrying the same into effect, I Hereby Constitute and appoint George Chaffey my true and lawful attorney, for me and in my name, place and stead to vote at any meeting of the stockholders of said corporation Two hundred shares of the capital stock thereof owned by me and being the stock evidenced by Certificates Nos. 215 to 216 inclusive, standing in my name upon the books of said corporation with the same powers, and to all intents and purposes with the same validity as I could if personally present; giving and granting unto my said attorney full power to substitute one or more attorneys in his place, and the same at his pleasure to revoke; and hereby ratifying and confirming whatsoever my said attorney, or his substitute or substitutes shall and may do by virtue hereof in the premises. And I hereby make this authorization to my said attorney irrevocable for the period of five years from the 3rd of April, 1900.
