City of New York : On this ninth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, before me, a Notary Public in and for the said City and State, personally appeared A. H. Heber, who is personally known to me to be the same person who executed the foregoing instrument as President of The California Development Company named therein, and he duly acknowledged that he executed same freely and voluntarily, and that the said instrument was the free act and deed of the said corporation and the said A. H. Heber being by me duly sworn, did depose and say that he is the President of the California Development Company aforesaid, a corporation described therein, which executed the foregoing instrument, that the seal thereto affixed is the corporate seal of said Company, that said instrument was signed and sealed in behalf of said Company by authority of its Board of Directors.
