Show John Tanner and His 360 Family All well this morning. 12 years ago today we were joined in the bands of Matrimony. Theres a vast difference in our Situation, then & at the present time. Then our family numbered 2 & now it numbers 18 & very much scattered abroad in this unfriendly world. But I hope we a just may all be gathered again in the due time of the Lord & receive reward for all our labours & be found worthy of a Celestial Glory in the June 10th. of our father. I wish I could talk to you instead of wrighting. I cannot think of letter any thing to wright worth sending so far. I want to wright a long & I want it to do you much good, but I do not know but you will have to take the will for the deed. If I was wrighting to anyone else I do not kingdom know as I should durst to send it. But I know you will make all allowances & over look the frequent blots and mistakes in this letter. Our cattle do very well. Blacky gives a fine mess of milk. Henry Roblings has lost one of his oxen & Sidney an Ox & Cow since you left. We get along very well. Daniel got some flour, 16 bushels of wheat, 1 bushel & a half of dried apples, some corn, some Sugar. Br. Flake has let us have Sugar & Coffee, 23 Pounds each. I received 6 dollars of Br. Turly. Borrow no trouble about your family, we shall get along first rate. the 13: Your family are all well and appear to enjoy themselves first rate. Sister Levi Hancock stayed with me last night, she is in good health. She has not heard anything in particular from her sisters that are Sunday back but expects them to come. Sister Turley is sick yet, not able to get up only as she is lifted. Father's health has improved much since you left. He has got a new house & quite a farm from all accounts & making lots of Chease. Sister Parley has arrived from Nauvoo since he left for the Hom? I understand her health is very poor that she cannot go There has not been a school yet, on this we summer. expect there will be as soon be fitted up for that purpose. Tinneys hurry Paulina is expecting to teach. She sends her respect to you & Cornelia alIso. The children are busy as usual, I can hardly keep track of them. as the is over so house Br. can Little Amasa has 12 teeth & beginning to talk. I look forward with great anxiety for your return & wish if it would be as well that this might be the last time that we should be separated. All things will work to to those that love and serve God. When the cattle were drove down from the rushes your Stear that Father Shepperd let you have got strayed & has not been found yet. Neither has the other 2 that were gone.
