He is the son of Nathan Amasa and Ellen Hinchcliff Tanner Tanner and the grandson of Nathan Tanner Jr., and Margaret G. Russell is the great-grandson of Nathan Tanner. Harrington. He was born June 14, 1895, in Ogden and has lived there his was in the Ogden City schools and the Weber Academy.
