Smith, and two papers from the Nathan Tanner files. two letters a Our thanks to others in possession of items quoted in the Ap pendix have been noted in other parts of this volume and will not be repeated. The four publications produced in the Appendix are photo graphed to give them the appearance of the originals. Two of the publications, Scraps of Biography and the Biographical Encyclopedia, were published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The author's comments concerning a number of the items in the Appendix will be found in the Preface and in chapters one and four. There are also a number of comments in the footnotes. Aside from this no further editing of the Appendix has been made. |
