Show CHAPTER 20 John Joshua Tanner John Joshua Tanner was born December 19, 1811, at Green wich, New York. He married Rebecca Smith in July of 1835, in Kirtland, Ohio. Rebecca was born April 17, 1816, in Bolton, New York. She died April 24, 1854, at south Cottonwood, Salt Lake County, Utah. 1. Tanner, born January 4, 1853, at south Cottonwood, John Joshua Tanner was married a second time to Mahaleth Jane Chase on March 13, 1857, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
