Show 4502 2522 RICHARD ELMER CALDWELL, a witness of lawful age, called by and oh behalf of the complainant, having been first duly sworn according to law by the Special Master, was examined and testified as follows: DIRECT EXAMINATION BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Will you state your name to the court, please? A Richard Elmer Caldwell. Q Mr. Caldwell, where do you live at the present time? A Los Angeles. Q And what is your profession? A I am a civil engineer. Q Generally what has been your training for that profession, and your experience? A Well, I have had experience in hydraulic work and municipal engineering and irrigation and drainage, principally. Q You also represented the state of Utah in the Colorado River Compact, did you not? A I was a member of the Colorado River Commission, yes sir, representing Utah. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q At what time? A I don't remember when I received my appointment as commissioner, but it was prior to 1922. |
