Show 4423 Loper- C 2443 A I don't know a thing about the boat. Q I believe you stated that in March or April, 1915, there was work going on at Tickaboo and Good Hope bars in the river? A No, that was high bars, that was big gravel bars off to one side of the river, not in the river. Q Wherever they were located, you did run your boat on many occasions between Good Hope and Hite, bring down what you term light stuff, including hay? A Yes. Q Did that for compensation? A I got so much a day. THE SPECIAL MASTER: The witness uses the term " bar" sometimes in the sense not of a bar which would impede navigation of the river, but of a higher stretch of loose soil. MR. FARNSWORTH: Yes, I understand. Q You spoke of the channel of the Green river having been on the right- hand side as it goes under the railroad bridge in 1907, and now it is on the east side; is that correct? A Yes sir. Q The river is still under the bridge, isn't it? A Still under the bridge, yes. By the way, this where it has changed its channel was above the bridge, not under the sbridge. |
