Q When you arrived at Lees Ferry did you find a boat there? A There was a ferry boat, yes; there was one boat, about an eighteen- feet keel boat, gasoline launch, I would term it. Q Who was in charge of that boat? A It was on the bank; it hadn't been put in the water yet; the superintendent would be Charles H. Spencer. Q Was it a new boat? A No sir; second- hand.
