A No. Q But up until say five or ten years age did they? A Yes, ten years age, about. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Ten years age? A Yes. About all worked out. Q So they were mining there between 1892 and 1919, about? A Yes. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q I think you said something about being worked out. You mean by that -- A That is, there is no more pay gold. Q That is, the bars are not as rich as they used to be? A They can't make a living any more. Q With present methods? A Yes, with present methods. Q Now, you mentioned miners coming down in their boats from Farmington? A Yes. Q Those prospectors would go on down from Bluff down to their claims all down the river there, wouldn't they? |
