Q Have you ever been on the Green river? A Yes sir, I have been to the Green river; I have never navigated the Green river. Q Have you ever operated a boat or been in a boat on the Grand river? FARNSWORTH: Q Any difficulty that you encountered with sandbars was merely occasioned, was it not, by failing to strike the channel, and when you get on a sandbar the boat man would move the boat off and get it into deeper water, wasn't that true? A There must have been deeper water, or we would never have gotten off the sandbars. Q You recall no instances where there wasn't water sufficiently does for your boat to go down in it? A We were always able to float after we pushed it a certain distance, or an uncertain distance. Q Your getting stuck was occasioned by your not getting |
