Show 4450 Marrs- C 2470 A Yes. Q That is correct, is it? A Yes sir. Q It was not a part of your plan of operation that you would cover any territory higher up than Warm creek; that is correct, isn't it? A Yes sir. Q The changes that you have referred to in your testimony in river bed and bars and all that sort of thing are changes that you observed below warm creek? A I had no chance to observe them above Warm creek, as I only made the one trip up. Q I would assume that would be true. So it is a fact these changing conditions to which you referred are all down below the Utah- Arizona line? A Yes. Q Even on that stretch of the river, why would you mark the place of a difficulty? What is, to say, suppose there was a sandbar at a certain place, and you had learned that the boat channel at that place was located in a certain position, what was your purpose in marking it? A When I first went over there I never had been on a swift water river. I had learned from boating experience before to mark a channel so the second trip over you would know where to go. |
