Show 4526 Barnes- C 2546 A I didn't get to Dandy Crossing, sir, with the large launch. Q Of, it was the small launch? A It was an eighteen foot launch. Q When you went up to Dandy Crossing with that launch it was in August, 1910, the last of August, I think you testified? A To Dandy Crossing would be in July or August; I wouldn't set a date on it, because I don't remember exactly. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Must have been before the last of August, because the trip to Warm creek he said was in the last of August. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q What would you say as to the date of the trip to Dandy Crossing? A I would say the last half of July or the first two weeks in August, somewheres in there; I wouldn't set a date. Q Now, did you see any stern wheel paddle wheel boat on that river? A Not at that point, no sir. Q Were you there at Lees Ferry when there was such a boat anywhere at all above Lees Ferry? A No sir. Q You have no acquaintance with a boat that was know as the Charles H. Spencer? A No sir. |
