Show 4411 Loper- C 2431 A Well, three or four times a year, maybe. Q During the time that you were living there on your ranch you made a great many trips to the Olympia and California and other bars, didn't you? A I made several trips down as far as Smith's fork, and several down to the Olympia, a trip or two down to the California bar. Q You took your boat with you on those trips? A Yes. Q Up and down the river? A Yes sir. Q As a matter of fact, you have gone up the river with your boat about as many miles as you have gone down it with your boat, haven't you, Mr. Loper? A Very near. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q How much did you row up, and how much did you tow? A Ninety per cent tow, ten per cent row. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q In describing the shifting of the position of bars in the river, and changes in the river, you used as an example the condition opposite your cabin, as I recall. Do you remember that? A About the change of the channel? Q Yes. |
