Q How did you get your team across the river? A Swam them, or ford the river; if it was too high, they would swim. Q What about your wagon? A Didn't move the wagon around there. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Took the horses all along the bank from Red canyon up to opposite Hite? A One place that was five or six miles away from the river, we had to go way around. Q Didn't have to go up on the rim? A No, we went up quite high, too, but not up on the great, big, high mesa. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q How long did you remain there at your ranch that time? Q I didn't remain very long; there was another fellow came and stayed on the ranch that winter. I went out to Hanksville, put in the winter there. Q Worked at Hanksville? A Yes.
