( The reporter read the preceding question, as follows:) " Q In speaking of frequent changes in the river generally, you used ' frequent' in the same sense that you use it as applied to this specific illustration you gave, namely, the condition there at your cabin; that is true, isn't it?" A In my description of the river I do not confine myself to the river in front of my cabin. Q I understand that, Mr. Loper, but the change that you observed and described in front of your cabin is similar to the variability that you spoke of at other points on the river? A The came conditions exits in other places besides in front of my cabin. Q And the conditions with respect to variability are fairly illustrated by the incident you stated, namely, that place there in front of your cabin, isn't that true? A I will any the change in the river is determined to a great extent by the crookedness or the straightness of the river. Q I am not asking you that. A I can't answer it any other way. |
