Show 4435 Marrs- D 2455 AFTER RECESS. ( The hearing was resumed at 2: 15 o'clock P. M.) WILLIAM L. MARRS was thereupon recalled to the stand, and having been heretofore duly sworn herein, further testified as follows: DIRECT EXAMINATION ( resumed) BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Mr. Marrs, after you made this first trip with the party from the Edison Power Company, did you make some other trips that same season? A Yes sir. Q How many did you make? A Oh, I don't know exactly how many. This geological Survey party was running a line of levels, also using a plane table, mapping the river. We would move them perhaps three or four miles, then they would stay there for a day, and move them again. Each time, between moves, we would come back for more supplies, bring more supplies, and bring the mail in. We were over there a total of five months. Q How far up the river did you go? A I believe at mile post 68, what they call the mouth of Bridge canyon. |
