Q How old a man are you? A Seventy- four. Q What is your present occupation? A I am a contractor for the American Smelting & Refining Company. Q Have you ever been in the San Juan river country? A At time, yes sir. Q In what places? A Well, I have been at Bowen's Ferry, and about where Fruitland is on the San Juan, and probably about twelve miles what I call southeast of Aztec crossing, from Azten to the San Juan river, and Pogoss springs, and different points along there, innumerable times. Q Have you ever been in and around Bluff? A No, I haven't Q Or have you been on the river between Bluff and the Colorado? A No sir. Q Have you ever done any bridge- construction work in the upper stretches of the San Juan? A Not on the San Juan. Q Or on any of the tributaries of the San Juan? A Yes, on the Animus 2478 |
