Show Bowen- D 500 August. We had some high water two years ago in August, but the highest water was in September. Q Do you get much driftwood on that river? A It is usually covered with drift whenever there is a flood, that is, anywhere over fifteen feet. Q when the river starts rising does it come up pretty rapidly? A Two years ago in September it raised seven feet in one hour, and something like two week ago we had a flood there twenty- eight feet, it raised five feet there in twenty- five minutes at that time. Q Are you familiar with Gypsum creek? A Yes sir. Q Have you seen the floods come down that creek? A I have seen the floods two years ago come down there and almost dam the river off. Q What month was that, do you recall? A That was in September. Q Good deal of debris comes down that river? A Yes, it is just a solid stream of silt and mud and gravel. MR.
