Show Nielsen- C 458 Q How many people were there in the first party? A I don't know. Q What kind of supplies did they have along with them? A Well, I think those two or three men in that one boat I have reference to, they just had their camp outfit, grub to last them two or three months, probably. Q Did you see their boats? A I believe I did; I saw this one boat I have reference to. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q What kind of boat was it? A It was just a small boat they use for ferrying across the river, something similar to that. Q Ten or twenty feet? A Yes, about fifteen feet long and four or five feet wide. Q Did it carry the same kind of things you carried in your freighting wagons? A Yes sir; I guess they could have went in a wagon; they didn't have no wagon and team, so they made a boat and went down the river that way. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q What time of pear was it?
