A No sir. Q Do you recall floods that have happened on the San Juan river of any particular size and capacity? A Yes sir. Q Just tell us about those, please. A I don't just remember the year, but there has been terrible floods down there; in 1886 the first serious flood we had tore up things and ruined our ditch. Q Has a part of the town of Bluff, Utah, gone down the river? A No, not the town itself. Q Do you frequently get floods on the San Juan river every year? A Well, not high, not extra high, dangerous ones; we usually get along with them, all right. SPECIAL MASTER: What do you mean by " frequently every year?" Do you mean a great many floods in one year?
