BLACKMAR: Q Mr. Adams, did you ever engage in this occupation of supplying those placer mines that were down there? SPECIAL MASTER: What placer mines? MR. BALCKMAR: The ones that were down on the San Juan river, A I have hauled and packed provisions down to them. Q What year was that? A Well, I couldn't say. Q About how long ago? A It must have been thirty years ago, anyway; I couldn't say. Q Do you recall just where on the river those mines are located? A Well, there is one mine located at the point of what we call Cedar ridge, go down a trail that the miners made down into the river, I don't know how far it was, quite dee. Q How far is the Cedar trail from the mouth of the San Juan? A Oh, it must be sixty miles, -- fifty or sixty miles. Q Those supplies that you took in, you took in wagon and by pack?
