Pages were scanned at 400 ppi on Fujitsu fi-5650C sheetfed scanner as 8-bit grayscale or 24-bit RGB uncompressed TIFF images. For ContentDM access the images were resampled to 750 pixels wide and 120 dpi and saved as JPEG (level 8) in PhotoShop CS with Unsharp Mask of 100/.3. Foldout pages larger than 11" x 14" were captured using a BetterLight Super 8K-2 digital camera back on a 4x5 view camera (100mm Schneider APO lens). Oversize images were resampled to 1500 pixels wide. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) by ABBYY FineReader 7.0 with manual review. |

Box 427 Boulder City, Nevada 89005 Agreement Identification Agreement Date Contractor: Bureau of Mines a/ 14-06-300-1215 6/1/61 Federal Project Involved Boulder Canyon Project Description of Agreement Electric and water service; Operation and maintenance of water supply system from Hoover Dam to retained works. a/ The United States1 interest in this contract has been divided by the formation of the Department of Energy. Therefore, the Department of Energy's Vies tern Area Power Administration is administering those provisions of the contract relating to electric service (essentially Part I of the agreement). The Department of Interior's Bureau of Reclamation will continue to administer the provisions of the contract relating to the operation and maintenance of certain water system facilities and the delivery of water (essentially Part II of the agreement). Because of this joint interest, future modifications of this agreement will require signatures for both the Department of Energy and the Department of Interior on behalf of the United States. |
