The Honorable, The Secretary of the Interior. Sir: Referring to Office letter of January 28, transmitting reports of Special Agent C. H. Kelsey on the condition of the Mission Indian Reservations in California, and the draft of a proposed bill for the betterment of their conditions, I have now the honor to transmit herewith certain descriptions of land which he recommends be withdrawn from all form of settlement and entry pending action by Congress whereby they may be added to the several reservations. The proposed additions are as follows: Twenty-nine Palms. - The SWW of Sec. 33, T.1N..R.9N., S.B.B. Inyaha. - The NVfe of NWW and SEW of NWW, Sec. 33; the WV2 of Sec. 26 and the WV2 of NEV4, Sec. 26, and if the same has not been already added, the SV2 of SEV4 and the NWV4 of SEV4, Sec. 26, all in T. 13 S., R. 3 E., S.B.M. Santa Rose. - The NV2 of Sec. 32, all of Sec. 33, and the WV2 of Sec. 34, T. 7 S., R. 5 R., S.B.M. Capitan Grande. - Sees. 21, 23, 25, 26, the EV2 of Sec. 27 and the NV2 of Sec. 34, T. 14 S., R. 2 E., S.B.M.; the NV2 of Sec. 10 and the SV2 of Sees. 1 and 2, T. 15 S., R. 2 E.; the WV2 of Sec. 28, the NV2 of the NEW and the EV2 of SEW, Sec. 28, the SWW Sec. 33, the SV2 of SEW, the NEV4 of SEW, the SEW of NEW, and the NV2 of NEW, Sec. 33, all of T. 14 S..R.3E., the whole of Sees. 4, 7, and 8, and the SWW of NWW, and the NWW of SWW of Sec. 9, all T. 15 S..R.3E., S.B.M. Agua Caliente or Palm Springs. - Sees. 6, 7 if the same be exchanged with the S. P. R. R., Sec. 10, T. 4 S., R. 4 E., and Sees. 2, 10 and 11, T. 5 S., R. 4 E., S.B.M.
