Reddish cinereous ; antennae of the male pectinated for two thirds of its length, of the female simple; abdomen pale ochreous cinereous : fore wings with a central diffused brownish-red band, which is retracted towards and stops short of the costa ; an outer wavy band of the same colour from two thirds of the hinder margin up to the apex, margined with ochreous cinereous in the outer side, the whole surface of the wing dotted with brown atoms of various sizes. The female is paler than the male, and has all the veins marked with brown at the outer margin ; hind wings of the male white, slightly suffused with pinkish ochreous towards the outer margin; in the female the hind wing is of a pale reddish-cinereous colour, slightly darker at the outer margin.
