It was decided to hold the special meeting at 11 a.n., Thursday, May 4th. Sixty-nine members of the instructing staff of the University petitioned the Board for an increase of twent y per cent. in the salary schedule for 1916-17. On motion, the petition was referred to the Finance Committee for report. Regent Bamberfiyghairman of the Committee appointed at a previous meeting to learn the terms upon which Mr. Nelson H. Norgren could be induced to remain with the Uni- versity as Coach, reported that Mr. Norgren will stay with the University if his salary is raised to $2500.00 per year and certain adjustments made in his department. Mr. Bamberger' stated that President-elect Widtsoe approved of these terms.
