April 19, 1915.] A meeting of the executive committee of the Board of Regents of the University of Utah was held in the Directors' room of the Deseret National Bank at 9:00 a. m., April 19, 1915 Present, Chairman Young and Regents Van Cott, Riter,, Williams, Kingsbury, and Bamberger. President Kingsbury's resignation as a member of the executive committee was accepted and Regent Bamberger was appointed to fill the vacancy. The recommendation of the committee of the School of '5? 0: J Arts and Sciences that Professor James L. Gibson be made 9 Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences and Professor of lflfi Mathematics, with a salary of $2800.00 for the year, was adopted. The committee on the School of Education made the ‘following recommendations which were adopted;,that A. L. -Mathews be made Assistant Professor of Agricultural Educa;tion at‘a salary of $1500.00; Miss Lillie Mae Wirth, Director 5 of Domestic Art and Instructor while Miss Parke is on leave . of absence at a salary of $1000.00; and Miss Alice Hurst ' l ‘as instructor in English and Oral Expression in the Secondary 1 i |
