Show Fire Escape The question of installing fire escapes on the Museum V!" and Normal Buildings came up for consideration. discussion, it was decided, After 50mg; on motion of Regent Riter, to ‘11 I l Mr.‘ place two fire escapes on each of the buildings named. Forsberg was authorized to have drawn up specifications for spiral escapes and for acceptance. ‘ to submit them to the Building Inspector K" If approved, the University is to proceed to advertise for bids for the installation of the fire escapes in accordance with these specifications. The plac- ing of the fire escapes on the buildings with reference m their position was left to Mr. Forsberg and the Chairman of t Flag-pole l ' the Building Committee. The matter of erecting a flag-pole, or flag-poles, on the University campus came up for consideration. It was stated that inasmuch as the pole which was erected by the '02 class had been taken down, it was no more than right that the University proceed at once to replace it. There seemed to be a division of opinion among the Regents present;‘ as to the placing of the pole, whether it be to the rear 7 of the present location of the rostrum, on the campus, whetii it be on the Central Building, or whether there be two poleM erected--one on each side of the Central Building. After a H somewhat lengthy discussion the matter was referred to the Committee on Grounds with Mr. Forsberg and Regent Williams associated, for further investigation. Mr. Forsberg was authorized to take up the matter with the architects rela- tive to the feasibility of erecting the pole on the Centralrf Building.
