There were present Regents Whitmore, Young, KingsburyJ Lund, Gemmell, Middleton, berger, and Real. In Armstronc u) Bam- the absence.of Chairman Riter, Regent Young was chosen to preside} All of the minutes of the Board and the Executive . 22M} '- ii‘d Minutes ' Committee‘were read and approved to date. The trans- approvedrto date actions of the Executive Committee were approved as being the ordinary business of the University. The recommendation of President_Kingsbury R.G.Sharp .that Mr. R.G.Sharp be employed as Assistant Pro-- fessor of Anatomy at a salary of $1300.00 per year to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of 7" Hyrum , Schneider ,W.C.Becker, was approved. Hr. Hyrum Schneider 'was employed as instructor in Geology and Mineralogy for the coming year.at a salary of $1000.00. On the recommendation of President Kingsbury, Prof.Gibson to it was decided that Professor Gibson go east to vto east to select and Surchase a ' seleCt a telescope for the department of Mathefor Mathematics and Astronomy matics and Astronomy, his necessary expenses to be paid by the University. Department The Secretary stated that two tenths of Pro~ Bal.of Prof. 'fessor Bolin's salary were still due.
