Show a 1‘5 L"‘1 March 13, 1916. J The regular meeting of the Board of Regents of the Hutw University of Utah was held at the University at 12:15 o‘clock p.m., Monday, March 15, 1916. The business before the Board .was considered during a luncheon which was served by the Domestic Science Department. There were present Chairman Riter, and Regents Williams, Armstrong, Bamberger, Kingsbury, Young, Gemmell, Van Cott, Middleton, Porter, Rolapp, Mattson, Widtsoe, and Lund. Dr. John A. the newly elected president for next year, was also present. There being no amendments to minutes, they were approved as written by the Secretary. Regent Bamberger, Chairman of the Student Activities Committee, stated that Mr. J. P. Goddard, who is at present »Activity Accounts giving a course in accounting at the University, will be made a member of the Auditing Committee for the various activity accounts, and it is expected that a thoro and satisfactory system of keeping these accounts will soon be devised. Regent Riter, Chairman of the Finance Committee, reported that the income of the University from Land Funds had not Land Funds been affected by the breaking of the Hatchtown dam. Van Cott moved, learn, Regent and it was carried, that the Finance Committee if possible, to what extent University Land Funds had suffered losses thru any events of the past. Regent Porter, to whom had been referred at a previous meeting, the question as to the attitude of the University ;fijfifiefinrds the State Teachers‘ Retirement Association, recommend- }gthe'University.consider itself as coming within the s of the act establishing the Association. This ition was adopted. |
