Show September 14,1914 A regular meeting of the Board of Regents of the University of Utah was held at the University at 12:15 p.m., Monday, September 14,1914. There were present Chairman Riter and Regents Lund, Middleton, Gemmell, Young, Kingsbury,Williams, Armstrong, Bamberger, and Beal. The minutes of September 2nd were read, amended, and approved. Sec. to ad- vertise for bids for furnishing coal to U. for 1914-15 On motion of Regent Young, the Secretary was instructed to advertise for bids for furnishing coal for the school year 1914-1915. The President called attention to the fact that several accounts such as those of the EducaMethods of keeping miscellaneous accounts in connection with tional Review, the Riter Dormitory, and the Book Store, etc., were arising, and suggested that some committee be appointed to inspect these accounts students and make suggestions to the Board. Regent Beal of the Univ. and the girls' also stated that it might be well for this comdormitory, book store, mittee to inquire into the methods of keeping the etc. to be looked into accounts with the various student activities. On by Regents motion of Regent Middleton, this matter was refer- red to the Finance Committee for consideration and report. Regents Young, Kingsbury, and Williams were Committee appointed to confer with City Commissioners and Street Car Co. with view of getting bet- ter car service for x University named as a committee to confer with the City Commissioners and with the Street Car Company to see if the street car service to the University might not be improved.
