An adjourned meeting. of the Board of Regents of the University of Utah was held in the Directors‘ Deseret National Bank at 7:50 p. m., April 15, room of the 1915. There were present, Chairman hiter and Regents Arm» strong, Lund, Gemmell, Whitmore, Middleton, Young, Williams, Bambeéger, Van Cott, holapp, Porter, Kingsbury, and Mattson. 9:30 a. m. It was moved by Regent Van Cott and carried, L meetings of the Board are called for the forenoon, that when they be called for not earlier than 9:50 a. m. fl The Regents took up the consideration of the reply to Reply to Alumni Committee of 25 _the Alumni Committee of Twenty-five. Regent Gemmell favored the proposed reply in the main, but thought it might be softened a little here and there without affecting the attitude of the Board and it might help towards a settlement of the difficulties, andgmade a number of sugrested changes in the reply which she thought would imprOve it. Regent Mattson thought more could be accomplished by meeting with the Committee of Twenty-five and discussing the matter, fiby a reply such as was being considered, than as so many things now enter into the controversy that it is difficult to cover them properly in a communication.
