I have been indebted to the kindness of Dr. Fischer for an opportunity of examining the Mollusca which were procured last summer by the deep-sea exploration in the French Government steamer ' Talisman' off the west coast of Spain and the coasts of Marocco, Senegal, Sahara, Cape de Verd Isles, Canaries, and Azores. This examination will be seen to have greatly enriched the present Supplement. I also wish to recognize the laborious care taken by the Marquis de Folin in his "triage" of the sifted material from the deep dredgings in this Expedition. Parti., P.Z.S. 1878:- Page 401.
