FARNSWORTH: 1893 and 1894, and for several years after that. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Were you on the river when Mr. Raplee was placer mining? A Yes. Q When he had a stone house, or a house down there? A Your Honor, excuse me, he had no stone house. Q No matter whether stone; were you on the river when he lived down there? A Yes sir. Q Where were you then? A I was down to his workings lots of times, riding the range for cattle. Q And at the time when he was working, there were other placer miners working below him, were there? A At the one time there was. Q For how long? A Well, I don't think any of them worked only the winter out. Q They were there at the time Mr. Raplee was?
