A We had a good many bars with us, we had long poles with us that we could handle very readily, and we had a row boat, and some ropes and pulleys; wherever we could make fast with this rope and snub it to the boat we would have a good deal of purchase, by pulling it through these pulleys, and by these pries, and everybody doing their best, we would get off the bar. sometimes shovel out.
