Show Lumnsden- C 678 Q When did you bast -- what was your last information about it? THE SPECIAL MASTER: I do not think this is important, Mr. Farnsworth. I told Mr. Blackmar I didn't think it made any difference what happened to that boat after it left Greenriver. MR. FRARNWORTH: My purpose, your Honor, I think is a pertinent one. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I excluded Mr. Blackmar's testimony on that ground, and I shall exclude any cross examination on it. No matter what happened to the boat after she left Greenriver. MR. FARNSWORTH: I ask leave to cross examine this witness with reference to the boat after it left Greenriver on this theory, as bearing on the question of whether this boat could even navigate Greet Salt Lake; concerning the navitability of this lake I think there will be not question. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I do not think that is relevant. It is shown she did navigate the Green river, with difficulties. I do not think what she did on Salt Lake has any pertinency whatever. MR. FARNSWORTH: We note an exception. Q You designed this boat, did you? A Yes sir, that is, my foreman and I. Q Were you interested in the enterprise? A Yes sir. 2646 |
