Show Kolb- D 799 end is quieter than the upper section. Q Where is Rite, Utah, with reference to the Crossing of the Fathers? A Hite, Utah, is just a short distance below the Dirty Devil river -- the mouth of the Dirty Devil, just a few miles. Q Did you see any people at Rite, Utah? A We saw three men in that section. Q What do you mean by that section? A Well, there were three separate homes or cabins within a few miles of each other. Q Where were they located? A Two of those were on the right side of the river; one was John Hite's and the other was his brother, I for get his first name. Q Case? A Case Hite, yes; he was a few miles below, in between those two places. On the other side of the river Bert Loper had his ranch. Q That is the gentleman sitting here? A Yes sir. Q Between Greenriver and Lee's Ferry did you meet any boats? A Bert Loper was working with a boat. Q What was he doing?
