Show 587 Newkirk- D Q Did you ride along the canyon, the rim of the canyon, any? A Yes. Q While you were down there did you see any boats? A No sir. Q Did you take in any of your supplies by boats? A No sir. MR. BLACKMAR: I think is all, Mr. Newkirk. CROSS EXAMINATION BY MR. NENKIRK: Q Just one question. Mr. Newkirk, what time of the year wait that you reached Chinle creek and the section from there on down? A the time I was working on there, I believe it was in the latter part of June, first part of July. I was up in there also in May, just passed through there. Q And this was in what pear? A 1923. Q Your work there continued until into September, as I understand? A Yes, I think it was about the first week in September I left there. Q You began higher up above Bluff, and your work continued on down until you had finished what you went for? A I was on the north side in the spring, down around John's canyon in May, then I was back in and out of there different times during the summer. 2555 |
