Show Lumnsden- D 676 Moab, or do you recall about that? A Well, now, I am not sure, no. Q What eventually became of the City of Moab? MR. FARNSWORTH: Does he know of his own knowledge? MR. BLACKMAR: Why, certainly; he was the proprietor. MR. FARNSWORTH: The proprietor wouldn't necessarily know. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I guess he knows. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Go ahead and tell us, Mr. Lumnsden. A Yes, I know pretty well what became of the boat. After we found we had made a mistake trying to ply the Green and the Grand river, we conceived the idea we would take it out to the big Salt Lake in Utah, and Mr. Anderson went over and made a contract with the management at Saltair to put the boat on there, and was allowed to carry passengers for excursion trips around over the lake. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q I think that is sufficient along that line. It was taken away from Green river? A Yes, sir. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Did you ship it overland? A Shipped it on the railroad, yes sir. Q Before you shipped it up to the Great Salt Lake you had some alterations made in it? 2644 |
