Show Lumnsden- C 680 Q That is besides the Grand Junction friends who accompanied you? A Yes sir. I think there was another man, I ain't sure about it, I couldn't tell you. Q What time did you tie up that night, that is, the first nigh, at this point you mentioned, some four or five miles below the confluence of the San Rafael? A About dark; it was pretty close to dark when we tied up. Q And it was in the month of May? A Yes sir. Q So it would be somewhere around seven or seven- thirty that you tied up, would it be? A Probably not later than six; I ain't sure. Q Possibly not later than six? A Possibly not; might have been seven, of course. Q And you left Greenriver at nine o'clock? A About nine o'clock, -- that is as near as I can remember. Q So that, including all stops, you made the journey from the town of Greenriver to a point four or five miles below the mouth of the San Rafael in approximately nine hours? A Possibly, yes, where the water was good we hadn't a bit of trouble. Q Have you a picture of that City of Moab? A No sir, I haven't. Q Had an awful lot of top to it, didn't it? A Well, I don't know that it had; we didn't have any trouble about the boat listing or anything of that kind. 2648 |
