Show 763 ELLSWORTH L. KOLB, a witness of lawful age, called by and on behalf of the com-plainant, having been first duly sworn according to law by the Special Master, was examined and testified as follows: DIRECT EXAMINATION BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Will you state your name, please, to the court? A Ellsworth L. Kolb. Q Mr. Kolb, where do you live? A I have a residence at the Grand Canyon, Arizona, on the brink of the Grand Canyon, -- I have a business there, would be the better was to state it, part of a business. Q How old a man are you? A Fifty- three in December. Q What generally has been your education since you grew to man-hood, what has been your work? A I had an ordinary, common- school education, and what education a person would pick up in a business way, since then, nothing further in the school. My brother and myself associated together in 1901 and established a photographic studio at the Grand Canyon, and that business has grown from rather a small business to rather a sizeable, nice little business; scenic photography, properly speaking. Q Have you made any trips on the Green or the Colorado river? 2731 |
